Creating a habit of giving

In the past couple of months, I have created this habit of giving money every week. It has become an intentional part of my life experience. It's not that this is completely new. In the past, I've done a regular financial giving program. But lately, it was more when I thought of it or was asked.

This habit of giving is grounded in my experience that when we give, we create flow. We create a covenant with the source of all things that we will participate in the natural abundance and movement of the universe. We send the message through our acts of giving that we can receive more because we will then give more.

I had never really understood the concept from that point of view before. I had always heard things like, you must give to receive or it's better to give than receive. And, I knew that it set the law of reciprocity into motion. I just never really understood that what it does is let the Conspiracy of Love know that we wish to be a vehicle for that abundance by letting this flow come through us.

Now, if we hoard anything out of fear -- love or money -- we are sending a message that we do not wish to participate in the program. There's no judgment. We've just made that choice.

This idea has some assumptions. One, that there is an intelligent, conscious source of all things, and two, that energy follows intention. It assumes that we are powerful, creative beings that can have a huge impact on our reality based on our intentions.

Many of us have lots of mixed feelings and beliefs about money, me included. However, when I look at my experience objectively, I have always been provided for. That's the Conspiracy working -- my angels, guides and loved ones, physical and nonphysical. I also think it's because money is essentially love in action and it comes to us when we can clear out our limiting beliefs, and when our intentions for its use are based in love. Love is the primary energy in the universe, and money is one form of it. The more we love, the more it becomes available to us. We become trustworthy channels for that love. Oh, and don't worry, there are plenty of opportunities. Each week, I take the amount I wish to give, bless it, then open to the need. I am never disappointed, and it feels so good to give.

So, what's the bottom line, as they say? To get clear about our beliefs about money, to set clear intentions based on love, and to agree to participate fully in the program of giving. Enjoy it. Feel yourself as a powerful spiritual being supporting a universe of love and abundance. Because, that's you!

Love and blessings,
Andrea

Finding meaning

In our world, there is such a focus on meeting goals, whatever they are, I think we lose sight of the journey, and the meaning behind the journey. Sometimes I remember to stop, focus and breathe, which is how I get into the present moment. I'm adding one more piece to that now. What does what I'm doing mean to me? It could be very simple. It doesn't have to be "profound."

For example, when you're getting dressed in the morning, focus on that. Enjoy the process of picking out your clothes, the feeling of the textures on your body as you put them on, the joy you feel when you behold their beauty. Very simple, but at the same time, it is profound. When we look for the meaning in every action, every moment, life slows down and we get to enjoy it, all of it. If you find your mind racing ahead to the end result, stop, breathe, focus on what you're doing, and ask yourself what the meaning is. Just be with it.

I'd love to know what you experience.

Love,

Andrea

Keeping current

Are you hip to all the technology that's emerged in the last few years? The social media stuff? Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Linked In, Plaxo . . . and on and on and on. It's crazy!

I've recently become more aware of these opportunities to communicate, and I'm learning. At the same time, I'm looking at these as a metaphor for all of us. The need to keep current.

By that I mean, to keep current in our lives. To stay conscious. It's so easy to go on auto pilot, to get into a routine, to get into a rut. Do you find yourself doing that? It's comforting to depend on certain things staying the same every day. You don't have to recreate the wheel. You don't have to think.

Ah, but in some areas of life, that is the slippery slope. That can turn into apathy, or taking things for granted. Or taking people for granted. Or just not keeping current with our own personal growth.

Personal growth, from my point of view, is about experiencing deeper and deeper levels of awareness and freedom. I think it is New Hampshire's saying, Live Free or Die. To some extent, I think this is true for each of us. If we are not growing, we are dying. So, keeping current helps us to keep growing. A friend of mine, who has passed away, used to always greet me with, "Keep Up!" It was a reminder to pay attention and keep current.

So, dear, dear friends, keep current. Keep up. Keep growing. And, keep loving.

Love,
Andrea

Course correction

Have you ever noticed that you've gotten off course somewhere or somehow? All of a sudden you realize, I'm not doing what I intended. How did that happen? I've lost sight of the ball!

I think this is how that happens: we forget to keep our eye on the big picture, our vision if you will, and get caught up in the day to day stuff. The ups and downs, the trivia, the inevitable changes and challenges that come up. We forget why we started and get off course. What do we do?

Make a course correction. Course corrections are a natural part of the human experience. It's easy to get lost in the minutia. It's easy to go unconscious. Once you see what's happened, just get back on course. This works for business, love, diets, whatever. And, don't beat yourself up about it. It happens.

I noticed I got off course with this blog. It started to become an online journal. I'm not saying I didn't provide some thought-provoking information and insight. It just didn't have the tone or feel I wanted when I started it. So, I'm back on course.

This blog is about looking for love in all the "right" places. That love exists in everything if we only look for it. This blog is about knowing that there is a conspiracy of love behind the veil, always supporting, always urging us to experience the truth of our beings -- that we are love.

So, I'm back on track. I'll continue to share my personal journey, because I know we are all in this together, and perhaps my insights might help you find your own. I'll just make sure they are in balance.

Love,

Andrea
